During the Arduino SW installation, I received a compile error. Have no idea how to corrected it.

I make use of the UNO board.
I have performed a new small test to check the UNO board.
Uploaded the BLINK program. However received another error. "avrdude: ser_open(): can’t open device “\.\COM7”: The system cannot find the file specified. "
The documentation state that I have to set the PROGRAM / R RECEIVE switch on the VRSSM SHIELD to program.
I do not know were the switch is located.

The switch is located on the servo shield.
Also check if you selected the right COM port in the menu.

THE COM PORT WAS SETTING WAS CORRECT COM7
I HAVE SET THE IR SWITCH TO PROGRAM MODE. the Blink program works correctely.

I have retested the VR408 with switch set to program mode. Howeer still the same compiler error

Just wondering what version of the Arduino software are you using?
What is you OS?
Maybe I can duplicate the error.

I did some more tests: I have uploaded the VR204 and that version is working! Very strange!! see annex compile messages.
My systems: Windows 8.1 Pro and Arduino 1.6.1
